Veterans Writing Circle at University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA

This Thursday will be the first of three meetings at the University of the Pacific’s Stockton campus. Dr. Camille Norton, a published poet and professor at Pacific, and myself will be leading a writing circle for veterans. It is absolutely free to veterans and surviving family members. Many people are dealing with the trauma of war, and I have found that writing is a very effective response to this trauma. Also, I realize that soldiers are not the only ones who endure suffering as a result of war. Dr. Norton and I hope that this will be a way to reach out to the community, especially the veterans and their families.

Here are the details:

When: June 24th, July 1st and July 8th meetings will be from 7:30pm to 9pm

Where: Room 119 Wendell Phillips Center

What: Writing circle for Veterans and Survivors of War

Cost: Free

Contact: 209-946-2121

More Info: Writing circle for Veterans and Survivors of War

I hope that you will participate if you live in the Central Valley area. This should be a fun and exciting experience for everyone involved.

Hope to see you there,

Victor Inzunza
